Their production is appropriate to their needs, and they are best used if you want to expand your empire without stopping. Their main advantage is that they attack really well in deep space, as well as being great in planet attack.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe compromise is that they need a biggish empire (with lots of planets) to sustain them, and they also are easy to counter attack.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nAnother disadvantage is that Marauders have no bullet catcher units. (ie low evasion/ high armour units ) -- remember any units with low evasion are \"more likely\" to get shot at, so low evasion units protect (soak up shots for) high evasion units in your army.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nA counter attack is tricky, but effective. In it, a defender gives up the planet under attack and then quickly re-invading it from space. Now the Marauders are fighting using their \"planet_defence\" ability rather than being allowed to battle with their units \"planet_attack\" They also get the Siege Tank - these steel behemoths have the highest defensive \"attack\" in the game. AND THEY HAVE THREE SHOTS PER TURN!!! Not to mention they are also VERY cheap.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nAs a civ their production is perhaps low, but their units are not expensive, considering their ability in combat.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nAs a Isolationist player you will be slightly short of cash, and numerically low on units, but you will able to hold planets easily, and retaliate in strength..<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIsolationist soldiers are well trained and capable, the compromise is that they find it hard to attack. But did I mention that siege tank yet?<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIsolationists are all effective endurance units. They sustain lots of damage well.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nAn effective tactic to attack them with is to land with a huge invasion force and wipe them out fast. Isolationists are extremely hard to wear down and can usually build units about as fast as they are die (allowing a planet to keep reinforced - without warfleet support - for a long Could there ever be final proof? Even one galaxy is enormous, surely in the billions of galaxies of the entire universe there had to be something! But when the number of eligible surveyed worlds exceeded the population of humankind itself, everyone began to agree.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>There were too many perfect worlds out there, too many vacant lots. There really was nothing special about earth – life had just happened there and it really should not have done. Billions of near identical planets had been found, and each in turn was nothing but dust and wind.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>So with a heavy heart they landed on sterile edens, they planted and they harvested. They were born, they raised their families, and they died. Under a countless number alien skies a countless number of stories were played out. And a silent melancholy drifted with mankind wherever he went.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>Equipping his outreach was his technology. Phage-genes would alter his DNA by the mere swallowing of a pill. His machines built themselves and lumbered as a silent army of slaves. He laboured, he built, but nothing really changed, and history chased him begging him to repeat himself.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>In his eagerness to race he pushed his brother down, and he cared not at all. So envy and greed went with him on his travels, and he was too busy to see. Things went on like they always had, and the same old play still spun itself out - again and again.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>But one day something happened, and everything changed.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>The spark of change occured on a minor outer rim planet. It too was nothing special. Yet it was the place where human civilisation – one that had endured for fifty thousand years - killed itself.</p>\r\n			\r\n<p>It was on this simple planet that the first of the disappearances happened. One day, the citizens of high society were there, the next day the very rich were gone. Thousands just evaporated without trace overnight. The planet was paralised and tempoarily leaderless. And in the wake of the dissappearances many people had been murdered. The slain outnumbered the dissappeared.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>Even though the social and political vaccuum was quickly filled, it proved impossible to discover anything at all for sure. These people had, quite simply, gone.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>But soon isolated communities of the well off on neighbouring planets disappeared too. An influential politician here, a media mogul there, and with it an accompaniment of murders. </P>\r\n\r\n<P>This oddity rippled through the surrounding inhabited worlds. And ridiculous explanations started. Some said it was religious cult. Some said an attempt to start utopia. But the persistent rumour stood out, and it was terrifying.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>What he had made should never have been made, and the price man would pay would be in his own blood. For someone had cracked the code that ought not to be broken, they had unravelled an enigma that was not to be read. Man had become immortal. His genes had been tamed  - and that was a discovery that could not be reversed.</P>\r\n\r\n<P>He had learned to cheat death forever and stay forever young. Instead of sharing this technology with all his brethren he demanded phenomenal sums and swore his fellow conspiritors to silence. The profits would come and such immortality was to be paid for. Even while you sleep you opponent may attack, so you defenses must be well prepared. Some players will have already expanded into space before you started to play, so your civilsation will start as \"pioneers\" - pioneer troops have amazing defense, but cannot leave the home world. For this reason you will not be bashed at the start, but you have real neighbours in this game that do not ever move so try to keep things friendly. You will not want to fight everyone on every border.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nYou must choose from 4 completely different civs (There are 4 civilisations: <b>Marauder, Isolationist, Capitalist, and Tyrant</b>), each with 4 levels. Choose to become an ultra capitalist, or play as a Isolationist culture dogged in defence. Maybe you want your citizens on all out offensive as Marauders, or maybe you want to preside over them in the totalitrian regieme of a Tyrant.
